Dr Tidsey

Dr Leanne Tidsey is a member of the BPS and Division of Clinical Psychology.

Within a clinical setting, Dr Tidsey has a number of years experience with respect to the assessment and treatment of individuals with emotional and behavioural difficulties. This includes several years as a clinical lead for young people presenting with emotional disorders including eating difficulties and deliberate self-harm.

Dr Tidsey delivers specific assessments and therapeutic work regarding emotional and behavioural difficulties experienced by young people, adults and families (e.g. eating difficulties, anxiety, depression, deliberate self-harm, PTSD, OCD).

She also advises on parenting and facilitates groups for parents of children where there are behavioural concerns.

Dr Tidsey contributes, via legal instruction, to legal proceedings where there are concerns around post-traumatic symptomatology.

She has undertaken post-qualification training in cognitive behavioural therapy for a range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, PTSD and OCD. She has also focused on training in eating difficulties, and parenting.

She lectures at Leeds University, and regularly delivers under- and postgraduate training at Huddersfield University.

In recognition of the importance of continuing professional development, Dr Tidsey is a member of a body which organises post-qualification training for Clinical Psychologists in the Yorkshire region.
