Mrs Angela Ruta-Howsam is an experienced BABCP Accredited CBT Psychotherapist. She is a Psychiatric Nurse with a wealth of experience in Mental Health, having worked in the NHS and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for over 21 years. She is able to work with young people, adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of psychological /emotional difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, eating disorders, trauma and OCD amongst other psychological difficulties. She is a systemic therapist with a special expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She is also a qualified supervisor and is able to provide supervision to qualified therapists. She has trained groups of foster carers on how to cope with children experiencing difficulties such as Self-Harm, Suicidal Ideation and Eating Disorders. She continues to develop her practice and is a qualified EMDR Therapist with experience of working with trauma.
