Clare is a Play Therapist registered with Play Therapy UK and has over 20 years experience of working with children and families in a social work role, 11 of them in post‑adoption services. During this time, she has developed expertise in working with children who have attachment difficulties arising from early developmental and relational trauma.

Clare offers child centred Play Therapy which provides children with a therapeutic space in which to process their thoughts and feelings around pertinent issues in their own time. Her practice is grounded in a strong understanding of sensory integration, and she is trained to Level 1 in Building Underdeveloped Sensorimotor Systems (BUSS) model. Clare is trained to Level 2 in Theraplay™ and has experience delivering one‑to‑one and group Theraplay™. She is also trained in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) and Dyadic Developmental Practice and Psychotherapy to Level 2.

Clare particularly enjoys group work with children and young people. She is also experienced in delivering therapeutic life story work, helping children and young people make sense of their experiences and supporting their healing and development.
